The government held its strategic conference to promote Japan tourism at the hotel that will be the site for the Hokkaido Toyako summit.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss plans on ways to promote Japan tourism.It is the first time it has been held outside of Tokyo.

Harumi Takahashi, Prefectural Governor, and other affiliated parties within Hokkaido, also attended the conference held at the Windsor Hotel.Discussed in the conference was how to communicate tourism information to the world.

“There were many things that we were unaware of; in particular, the proposals mentioned by 2 of the attendees from Hokkaido.”

Based on the discussions of this conference, next month the strategic conference will announce a special proposal regarding Hokkaido tourism.
